Could your surgery anesthesia fog your memory? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT05991817

Summary

This study aims to understand if a common surgery anesthetic temporarily affects people's ability to remember locations and navigate spaces. Researchers will test 22 middle-aged adults before and after gallbladder surgery using a virtual maze game and blood tests. The goal is to see if changes in memory are linked to inflammation caused by the surgery and anesthesia.
