Knee surgery anesthesia choice may influence Body's inflammatory response

NCT ID NCT07214558

Summary

This study aimed to understand if the type of anesthesia used during knee replacement surgery affects the body's inflammatory response. Researchers observed 84 patients, comparing those who received spinal anesthesia to those who received general anesthesia. They measured a specific blood marker of inflammation before and after surgery to see if one method caused less inflammation.
