This study looked at how spinal anesthesia versus general anesthesia affects inflammation after total knee replacement. Researchers measured a blood marker called Delta Neutrophil Index (DNI) before and after surgery in 84 adults. The goal was to see if one type of anesthesia leads to less inflammation, which could help with recovery. No extra blood tests were needed beyond routine care.
