NCT ID NCT07179029
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 24, 2026
Summary
This study will observe 3,000 adults undergoing non-cardiac surgery to understand how anesthesia and surgical factors may lead to heart injury. Participants must have at least two cardiovascular risk factors like age over 60, high blood pressure, or diabetes. What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could help doctors identify which patients are at higher risk for heart injury during surgery and guide better monitoring or prevention strategies.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly test any new therapy. Results may not lead to immediate changes in care.
As listed by the trial registrant
The condition terms exactly as the trial's registrant entered them.
