Scientists probe hidden immune effects of common anesthesia
NCT ID NCT07268872
Summary
This study aims to understand how different general anesthesia drugs affect the body's immune system in healthy people. Researchers will enroll 80 healthy young adults, give some of them specific anesthesia drugs, and collect blood samples before and after to analyze immune cell changes. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how these commonly used drugs might influence immune function, separate from the effects of surgery.
