NCT ID NCT05581485
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested two ways to keep patients comfortable and breathing on their own during throat surgery without a breathing tube. One method used a nerve block (injecting numbing medicine near the voice box), and the other used a sedative drug. The goal was to see which method worked better for maintaining safe breathing and oxygen levels. The study involved 46 adults aged 20 to 80 undergoing endoscopic laryngeal surgery.
