Hip surgery pain relief: which numbing method works best?

NCT ID NCT06224439

Summary

This study compared two numbing techniques for patients having surgery for a broken hip. Researchers tested whether a nerve block (numbing a specific area) or a spinal injection provided better pain control and kept patients more stable during surgery. The goal was to help doctors choose the safest and most effective anesthesia method for these often older and frailer patients.
