Doctors test Ultra-Low anesthesia flow to cut costs and help the planet
NCT ID NCT07465146
Summary
This study compared two very low-flow methods for delivering anesthesia gas during gynecological surgery. Researchers wanted to see if using the absolute minimum gas flow needed by the body was safe for patients and if it reduced the amount of expensive, environmentally harmful anesthetic gas used. They monitored 97 women during surgery to check their body temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure under each method.
