Can how doctors give anesthesia affect your memory after surgery?

NCT ID NCT07212543

Summary

This study looks at how different low-flow methods of delivering a common anesthesia gas (desflurane) affect patients during and after major abdominal surgery. Researchers will monitor brain activity during the operation and test memory and thinking skills afterward in 72 adult patients. The goal is to see if one method leads to better mental recovery after surgery.
