Safer surgery for seniors? study aims to Fine-Tune anesthesia dosing
NCT ID NCT07301242
Summary
This study aims to learn how the anesthesia drug ciprofol works in the bodies of older adults having surgery on their arms or legs. Researchers will collect blood samples and monitor 50 patients at a single hospital to build a computer model of how the drug is processed. This model could help doctors in the future use automated systems to give more precise and safer doses of anesthesia to elderly patients.
