Scientists probe Brain's 'Silent Mode' under anesthesia
NCT ID NCT06237101
Summary
This study aims to understand how two common anesthesia drugs, remifentanil and propofol, work together to affect brain wave patterns during surgery. Researchers will monitor the brain activity of 20 healthy adults undergoing elective surgery to see if one drug makes the other more likely to cause a specific, deep brain state. The goal is to gather knowledge to help anesthesiologists fine-tune drug doses for patient safety.
