Could your anesthesia choice affect how fast your broken bone heals?

NCT ID NCT07324681

Summary

This study aims to understand if the type of anesthesia used during forearm fracture surgery affects levels of a protein called irisin, which is involved in bone healing. Researchers will compare two common anesthesia methods in 90 adults and measure irisin levels before and after surgery. They will also check if changes in irisin are linked to how well the fracture heals on follow-up X-rays.
