NCT ID NCT07477093

First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at 49 healthy women having planned C-sections to see how spinal versus general anesthesia affects oxygen levels in the baby's brain right after birth. Researchers used a special light sensor on the baby's forehead to measure brain oxygen for the first 16 minutes of life. The goal was simply to gather information, not to test a new treatment.
