Calming the Wake-Up: drug study aims to soothe surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07392983

Summary

This study compared two sedative drugs, dexmedetomidine and midazolam, to see which one better prevents agitation when patients wake up from sinus surgery. It involved 146 adults in Pakistan undergoing a common nasal procedure. The goal was to find the safer, more effective option to ensure a calmer recovery from anesthesia.
