Summary

This study tested a new drug, MT-6548, against a standard treatment (darbepoetin alfa) for anemia in 304 people with chronic kidney disease who were not on dialysis. The goal was to see if MT-6548 could raise and maintain hemoglobin levels safely. Participants either switched from their current anemia treatment or started the new drug if not previously treated.
