New drug aims to control anemia in kidney patients
NCT ID NCT03329196
Summary
This study tested a new drug called MT-6548 for treating anemia (low red blood cells) in people with chronic kidney disease who are not on dialysis. It compared the new drug to an existing standard treatment to see if it works just as well and is safe over a long period. The goal was to help patients maintain healthy hemoglobin levels, which carry oxygen in the blood.
