Landmark study tracks 3,000 people to unravel mysteries of hormone disorders

NCT ID NCT00250159

Summary

This study aims to gather detailed information over time from people with genetic conditions that cause the body to produce too many male-like hormones (androgens). It will follow up to 3,000 participants, including children and adults, to better understand how these conditions affect growth, puberty, metabolism, and mental health. The research does not test a new treatment but seeks to build knowledge to help design better future care for conditions like Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) and Familial Male-Limited Precocious Puberty (FMPP).
