New hope for rare lung cancer: targeted drug combo tested in clinical trial

Summary

This study tests a new drug called andamertinib, given alone or with chemotherapy, for people with advanced non-squamous lung cancer that has certain rare EGFR mutations. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors or slow the disease better than chemotherapy alone. About 40 adults who have not had prior treatment for their advanced cancer will take part.
