New combo therapy aims to beat anal cancer recurrence

This study tests whether adding an immunotherapy drug (anti-PD-1) to standard chemoradiation can better control anal squamous cell cancer and reduce the chance of it coming back. It includes 241 adults aged 18-75 with different stages of the disease, from early to advanced or recurrent. The goal is to improve tumor clearance and survival while monitoring side effects.
