First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested a new imaging agent (124I AT-01) used with PET/CT scans to see how well it can measure amyloid deposits in organs like the heart, kidneys, liver, and spleen. 33 adults with systemic amyloidosis (AL or ATTR types) received the agent and were scanned twice to check if the results were consistent. The goal was to improve how doctors detect and track this rare disease.
