Scientists test new scan to track deadly protein buildup
NCT ID NCT05235269
Summary
This study tested a new radioactive imaging tracer called 124I AT-01. It was given to 33 people with systemic amyloidosis, a disease where harmful proteins build up in organs. The main goal was to see if PET/CT scans using this tracer could measure the protein buildup in the heart, liver, kidneys, and spleen consistently and safely over two separate scans.
