Summary

This study is testing whether a special decision-making tool can help patients with severe diabetic foot ulcers feel less conflicted and more satisfied when deciding about amputation. Nurses will use the tool with one group of 80 patients to explain treatment options and clarify personal values. Researchers will then compare this group's feelings of conflict, regret, and satisfaction with those of patients who did not use the tool.
