Could a birth tissue wrap stop Post-Surgery heart flutters?

This early-phase study tested whether placing a human amniotic membrane (a natural tissue from childbirth) on the heart during bypass surgery could reduce inflammation and prevent a common complication called atrial fibrillation. 27 adults having their first bypass surgery were randomly assigned to receive the membrane or standard care. The main goals were to check safety and see if the membrane lowered the rate of post-operative atrial fibrillation.
