Could umbilical cord tissue ease thumb arthritis pain?

Summary
This study tests whether a special membrane from the human umbilical cord can be used as a cushion in the thumb joint during surgery for thumb arthritis. The goal is to see if it reduces pain and improves thumb movement and strength. About 22 adults with thumb arthritis who have not gotten better with other treatments will take part and be followed for one year.
