Umbilical cord tissue tested as cushion for arthritic thumb joint

NCT ID NCT06038331

Summary

This study is testing whether a processed, sterile membrane from umbilical cord tissue can help people with painful arthritis at the base of the thumb. The membrane is placed as a cushion in the joint during a minor surgical procedure. Researchers want to see if this implant reduces pain, improves hand function, and is well-tolerated over 12 months.
