First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a special amniotic membrane containing riboflavin and moxifloxacin as an add-on treatment for people with moderate-to-severe infected corneal ulcers. The membrane was used during a light-activated therapy called PACK-CXL. Researchers compared this new approach to standard PACK-CXL alone in 32 adults to see if it helped the cornea heal faster and reduced inflammation.
