New patch offers hope for healing stubborn diabetic wounds

NCT ID NCT07209475

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a special patch made from amniotic tissue (Amnio-Maxx) to standard wound care helps heal chronic diabetic foot ulcers faster and with less pain. It will involve about 248 adults with diabetes who have a foot ulcer that hasn't healed well for over a month. The main goal is to see if the patch leads to more complete wound closure compared to standard care alone.
