New hope for Tough-to-Treat leukemia: testing a promising drug duo

NCT ID NCT05319587

Summary

This study tested a new drug combination for adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a type of blood cancer. The main goal was to find the safest and most effective dose of a new drug called liposomal annamycin when given with a standard chemotherapy drug, cytarabine. Researchers enrolled 22 adults with AML to carefully monitor side effects and see if the treatment helped control their cancer.
