Gentler vs stronger: major trial tests new hope for tough blood cancer

Summary
This large, late-stage trial aims to find out if newer, gentler personalized treatments work as well as or better than strong chemotherapy for adults whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has returned or hasn't responded to initial treatment. It will directly compare these two approaches in over 330 patients to see which one helps people live longer without their cancer worsening and with a better quality of life. The study is designed to reflect real-world medical practice.
