Summary

This study tested whether a new targeted pill called gilteritinib (ASP2215) worked better than standard salvage chemotherapy for adults with a specific genetic type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that had come back or did not respond to first treatment. The main goals were to see if the drug helped people live longer and achieve remission. The trial was completed and involved 371 participants.
