Scientists create 'Avatar' mice to speed up search for better leukemia treatments

NCT ID NCT06782971

Summary

This study aims to create a faster way to test new drug combinations for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Researchers will collect blood and bone marrow samples from 25 adults with AML who are starting standard treatment. They will implant these human cancer cells into special mice to see if the mice respond to treatments similarly to the human patients, helping identify promising new drug combinations for future testing.
