Blood test could Fine-Tune heart drug, prevent dangerous Flare-Ups

NCT ID NCT07487714

Summary

This study aims to see if checking the level of a common heart rhythm drug (amiodarone) in a patient's blood can help doctors better prevent episodes of atrial fibrillation (AFib). Researchers will enroll 80 adults with a specific type of AFib and monitor them for three months. The goal is to learn if adjusting the drug dose based on blood test results is more effective than standard care at keeping the heart in a normal rhythm.
