First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looked at whether playing with amigurumi (crocheted) toys during a blood draw can help lower pain and fear in children aged 4 to 6. Researchers tested 96 kids in a pediatric emergency room, comparing those who played with the toys to those who didn't. The goal was to see if a simple, fun distraction could make the experience less stressful.
