First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether the drug amifampridine can reduce the temporary voice weakness and breathiness that often occurs in the first few weeks after Botox injections for spasmodic dysphonia (a voice disorder). 18 adults who regularly get Botox for this condition and experience significant post-injection breathiness took part. The goal was to see if amifampridine could ease these side effects without affecting the Botox's benefits.
