Blood test aims to cut Alzheimer's diagnosis time

NCT ID NCT06856681

Summary

This study aimed to see if using a new blood test for Alzheimer's disease could help doctors reach a confident diagnosis faster. It planned to involve adults over 50 with memory concerns at Veterans Affairs and other memory clinics. Participants would have been randomly assigned to get their blood test results right away or after a delay to compare how quickly they received a diagnosis and appropriate care.
