New dental paste shows promise for soothing dry socket pain

Summary

This study tested a dental paste called Alveogyl in 120 people who developed a dry socket after a tooth extraction. The paste is placed into the socket by a dentist to relieve pain and help the gum heal. Researchers measured pain levels and healing over 7 days. The trial is already completed.
