New study aims to improve treatment for lung infections, avoid surgery

Summary
This study tests two different drug combinations given directly into the chest to treat pleural infection (infected fluid around the lungs). The goal is to see which combination works better at clearing the infection and reducing the need for surgery. About 80 adults with this condition will take part.
