Summary

This study aims to understand if living at high altitudes makes it harder for children with severe breathing problems to recover. Researchers will observe 1,600 children in intensive care units around the world, comparing those at different altitudes. They will look at how hospital resources and treatment methods affect survival and recovery to create better care guidelines for all regions.
