NCT ID NCT07277998

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether alternating two types of injections—a steroid and platelet-rich plasma (PRP)—works better than steroid alone for oral submucous fibrosis, a condition that causes stiffness and burning in the mouth. Forty adults with limited mouth opening and persistent burning will receive weekly injections for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination improves mouth opening and reduces pain more effectively.
