New injection combo may ease painful mouth condition

Summary
This study tests whether alternating two types of injections—one anti-inflammatory and one regenerative—works better than standard steroid injections alone for oral submucous fibrosis, a condition that causes mouth stiffness and burning. Forty adults with limited mouth opening and persistent burning will receive weekly injections for 12 weeks. The goal is to improve mouth opening and reduce pain.
