NCT ID NCT07391371

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study compares giving iron every other day versus daily to children with iron deficiency anemia. Researchers want to see if the alternate-day schedule is just as effective at raising iron levels while causing fewer stomach problems and making it easier for families to stick with treatment. Sixty children aged 6 months to 12 years will take oral iron for 12 weeks and be monitored for blood changes and side effects.
