First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug alpelisib to standard maintenance therapy (trastuzumab and pertuzumab) can delay cancer growth in people with advanced HER2-positive breast cancer that has a specific genetic change (PIK3CA mutation). About 19 participants who have already received initial chemotherapy will receive either alpelisib or a placebo alongside their regular treatment. The goal is to see if the combination extends the time before the cancer worsens.
