First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether eating almond butter every day for 8 weeks can improve the gut bacteria and heart health of school-aged children (ages 6-13). 70 children will be randomly assigned to eat either almond butter or a chocolate spread as a daily snack. Researchers will measure changes in gut microbes, digestion, and blood markers to see if almonds offer unique benefits.
