Scientists seek early signal to tell if allergy shots are working

NCT ID NCT06876506

Summary

This study aims to develop a new blood test to help doctors monitor allergy immunotherapy (allergy shots or drops). Researchers will measure specific immune cells in 80 adults with pollen or insect venom allergies before and during their standard treatment. The goal is to see if changes in these cells can predict treatment success earlier than waiting for symptoms to improve, which currently takes years.
