Scientists search for blood clue to predict allergy drop success

NCT ID NCT07436208

Summary

This study aimed to find a simple blood test that could measure dust mite allergy severity and predict if a person would respond well to allergy drop treatment. It involved 54 people with moderate-to-severe dust mite allergies and 54 healthy people for comparison. Researchers measured specific substances in the blood before and after a 6-month course of allergy drops to see if they correlated with symptom improvement.
