Knee surgery upgrade: extra ligament boosts stability

NCT ID NCT02680821

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a repair of the anterolateral ligament (ALL) during a second anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery helps patients more than just fixing the ACL alone. 102 people who needed repeat ACL surgery took part. The goal was to see if the extra repair leads to better knee stability and higher patient-reported scores.
