Tooth filling showdown: new material vs. standard for Gum-Line cavities
NCT ID NCT06673888
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested two different tooth-colored filling materials for cavities on the front teeth near the gums. Fifty adults received either a newer alkasite-based filling or a standard glass ionomer filling. Dentists checked the fillings right away, at 6 months, and at 1 year to see how well they held up. The goal was to see if the newer material works as well as the standard one.
