App for borderline personality disorder shows promise, but study cut short

NCT ID NCT06601907

First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app called alivis could help people with borderline personality disorder (BPD) manage their symptoms. About 286 adults with BPD were split into two groups: one got the app plus their usual care, the other just usual care. The app aimed to reduce BPD symptoms like mood swings and anxiety, but the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
