First seen Jun 30, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether ALIDYA, a gel injected into the skin, can improve the appearance of cellulite on the back of the thighs. Thirty women aged 20 to 45 with mild to moderate cellulite received six weekly treatments. Researchers used photos, ultrasound, and other imaging to measure changes in skin texture and structure over three months.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

ALIDYA (polyamino acid gel with gelatine hydrolysate, mannitol, calcium ascorbate, amino acids, EDTA, β-cyclodextrin, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate)

What this could lead to

If effective, this could offer a non-surgical option to reduce the visible signs of cellulite on the thighs.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early study with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The treatment requires multiple injections and may cause temporary bruising or discomfort.
