Mind-Body technique tested to help boys with muscular dystrophy

Summary

This study is testing whether the Alexander Technique, a mind-body method that teaches awareness and redirection of movement, can help improve arm posture control and quality of life in children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). The study will enroll 33 boys aged 5 to 9 with DMD. Researchers will measure changes in how children control their arm and shoulder posture during tasks and assess their overall quality of life.
